Blue Oak Affordable Tree Solutions Can Clean Up Your Debris
At Blue Oak Affordable Tree Solutions, debris cleanup is one of our specialties. Every property and project is different, so we tailor our approach based on your specific needs, the amount and type of debris, and your budget.
Below are the most common strategies we use for effective and affordable tree debris cleanup in Western North Carolina.
1. Chipping and Hauling Off
Our large chipper can handle branches and trees up to 15 inches in diameter. The chips are discharged into a box truck and hauled away.
For larger wood, stumps, or root balls that the chipper can’t process, we use heavy equipment to load and remove them safely.
This option is ideal for clients who prefer a completely clean site with no chips or logs left behind. It’s cost-effective for small to medium-sized trees but can become more expensive for large trees or extensive debris.
2. Chipping and On-Site Dispersal
This method uses the same equipment as above, but instead of paying for hauling fees, you can choose to keep the debris on your property.
Wood chips can be sprayed into wooded areas or left where they can serve a purpose, such as mulch for garden beds, landscape enhancement, or erosion control.
Larger wood pieces (over 15 inches in diameter) can often be repurposed as firewood, and our crew can cut them to your requested lengths.
If your property includes a wooded section, larger debris can be neatly discarded out of view. This approach saves you money while still ensuring an efficient debris cleanup.
3. Crew-Assisted Burning
For large-scale cleanup projects, such as storm or hurricane damage, our crew is experienced in safe and controlled burning techniques.
This specialized service is only offered under appropriate conditions and requires client participation and responsibility.
Requirements for Crew-Assisted Burning:
-
Burn Permit
The client must obtain a burn permit through the North Carolina Burn Permit Portal.
The client is also responsible for monitoring the fire if it continues after our crew leaves. -
Safe Burn Location
The property must have a safe, suitable area for the burn. For very large burns, our team uses heavy machinery to build dirt barriers around the fire area, up to 30 feet in diameter. -
Weather Conditions
The burn can only be performed if conditions are safe. If it’s too dry or windy, the job will be rescheduled.
Due to the risks associated with large fires, this option should be reserved for extreme cases. However, when needed, it can accomplish massive debris removal quickly and affordably.
4. Combination Approach
Many clients choose a combination of the above services to best fit their needs.
At Blue Oak Affordable Tree Solutions, we work one-on-one with every client to create the most effective and affordable plan for their debris cleanup project.
Whether it’s hauling, chipping, dispersal, or a custom combination, we’ll help restore your property to a clean, safe, and beautiful condition.
