To say that Nathan and the quality of his work is fantastic would be an understatement! I came across his business by chance and I couldn’t be more thankful I did. He works diligently and efficiently. His customer service is top of the line. Communication with Nathan is easy and prompt. The tree we needed down was not a task for the faint of heart. Nathan had it down effortlessly. I cannot say how thankful we are for him and his wife for the job they did for us! 100% recommend and will definitely use their services again!

Nathan Baker came out to our house, evaluated our issues, and gave us a quote. We were very impressed by his professionalism, knowledge, and approach to the work. We also greatly appreciated that he was concerned for the care of the trees, not just removing them. Since it turned out that our tree could not be saved, for this job we decided to use the HOA's tree service. They have removed many trees here. That gives us the advantage of the HOA's "blessing" in case there are any issues. But if we ever have a job that requires tree care (not just removal), we will surely contact Nathan.

"Had a very tall large oak that was damaged from Helene cut down as well as a dead oak next to a shed and my house. Nathan responded quickly and gave me a straightforward quote and what the services offered would cost and a copy of his insurance.

They used a lift that extended up 100 feet which was interesting to see…what a neat machine. A mini skid steer did a great job moving the limbs/trunk out of the yard and did very little damage to the ground.

I enjoyed watching the crew work and seeing Nathan swinging around in the top of the tree! The guys did a great job and were friendly and very professional. They left zero trash and did a great job cleaning up!

This company is absolutely outstanding! Nathan, the owner, made all efforts to fit the job into my little time available. From the moment he surveyed the job site to full execution he was the most professional and knowledgable. He walked the job site with me, listening, explaining, planning, suggesting. We had two major obstacles to overcome: bring the bigger wood chipper backing up the hill into my driveway at Gateway Mountain, in Old Fort, up a winding tight drive up, and take down a snapped huge tree in the downhill. Seriously both dangerous fits. Nathan has what I would call "mad driving skills!" Him driving and his crew guiding him made it look so effortless, we remained in absolute awe throughout it all. Then it came the time of the "dangerous" tree. Nathan handled it with careful planning, attention and precise feel for the environment he was working in. They cleared out more trees that were too close to the house without affecting the feel that we liked of "our" forest, on the contrary, bringing into view even more of its beauty. Everybody in this crew was careful, present, professional and worked like one. Highly, highly recommended.

Nathan and his crew were excellent. They spent an entire day clearing the trails of my 14-acre mountainous property. They worked hard and were always courteous and cautious, and they got everything I needed them to do done within the day which was a lot! I would highly recommend them.

We inherited a home from my partner's parents that needs a lot of catch up maintenance and care. The yard and surrounding trees were a top priority after Helene and we were concerned for the safety of the house. The gutter system was actually still hanging off the roof due to limbs from Helene (more on that later).

Blue Oak is extremely organized and transparent in terms of their pricing. Tree removal can be pricey but Nathan breaks it down for you where other companies just give you a flat number.

Nathan is an arborist and that meant a lot to us in terms of his advice regarding tree health and longevity. He helped us understand the best next steps and the needs of our trees and which ones need to come down. We're doing our work in phases due to limited funds and he completely understands that and is helping us through the process. We just completed phase one which included airspading two trees, soil enrichment and mulching. The yard looks 100x better and the tree will stay put... So much cheaper than removing it.

He and his team worked efficiently and were very nice and left the place looking great. They put up protection for a birdhouse with baby blue birds while they were working as well. He even used the compressor to blow off our driveway before he left and did some pruning of the trees to let in more sunshine. This wasn't in our quote so it shows that Blue Oak goes above and beyond to look after their clients. They care about your yard, too. Our next phase will involve removing trees off the property and installing a brace on our large Red Maple and we look forward to working with Nathan again.

Finally, Nathan was able to connect us with one of his workers that repairs gutters and our gutters are no longer hanging off the roof! This was a huge improvement for us and we're so happy it's finally done. Thank you, Nathan and Blue Oak ATS.

“Some friends and I took a rappelling class with Blue Oak in the beautiful Pisgah Mountains of North Carolina. Nathan and Jane were extremely prompt and arrived before the time we had specified. By the time I got to their vehicle they already had gear ready to explain what we needed to bring and fitting everyone for harnesses and such. We took a nice short hike to the first rock wall that sounded small but looked nothing of the sort.
